18th      Singers’ night.  Resident Will.

25th     Scolds Bridle:  wonderful harmonies, sometimes a bit cheeky!  Residents Colin and Linda.

 

APRIL 2010

1st        Singers’ night.      Resident Tony.

8th       Tony Gibbons:  a solo performance from this Liverpudlian with Irish roots, Tony plays with some of the best on

              the folk scene.Resident Chris.

15th      Singers’ night.  Residents Colin and Linda.

22nd     Flaxenby:  popular local group, great harmonies and songs.  Resident Will.

29th     Chase Mist:  a fine local quartet, polished and exciting contemporary folk.  Resident Dennis.

The Acorn Childrens Hospice which offers a network of care to life-limited children

We supported the following charities in 2009:

 The Joshua Foundation which provides holidays and experiences for terminally ill children. We raised £170.00.

Our local First Responders, a group of volunteers who provide emegency first aid until the arrival of the ambulance. We raised £236.00.

The County Air Ambulance. A cheque for £211.00 was taken to our local base at RAF Cosford.

People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals.  We raised £150.00.
